Play together, fairly

Join with just a name. Your first daily solve each day goes on the leaderboard, and any ranked solve can be watched as a replay. Races are one against one, with ratings.

  • Nothing is sent before you choose to join, and Settings can switch online off entirely.
  • The server replays every solve with the game's own cube code before it counts.
  • Race times are checked against the server's own clock.
  • No email and no password: the game keeps a secret key, and the server stores only its hash.

Download for Windows
  1. Unzip it and open TwistedCube.exe.
  2. If Windows says it protected your PC: More info, then Run anyway.
Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit.

macOS

Download for Mac
  1. Unzip it and drag The Twisted Cube to Applications.
  2. The first time, right-click it and choose Open (or System Settings, Privacy & Security, Open Anyway).
macOS 12 or newer, Intel or Apple silicon (through Rosetta).

Linux

Download for Linux
  1. Unpack it: tar -xzf the-twisted-cube-linux-x64.tar.gz
  2. Run ./TwistedCube.
64-bit (x64). Smart cubes need Linux for now.

Graphics need OpenGL 3.3, which almost every computer from the last ten years has.
